quilting and voting

that's all i'm doing today. and i think i'll stay away from the tv so i don't hyperventilate all day long. that way at the end of the day it'll just be like taking off a band aid... quick with a little sting...

I think that is the best way to look at it all.

Thanks for your comment. This "vacation," we have had has been stressful and to short. I left a message for you a week ago but I guess it was on your old phone. My # is 472-5840. Chris really liked having Jake on his team and is really happy they are somewhat together again. Also, he has an interesting video of he and Jake working that you should watch when they come home.

Did you take that picture? Can I live there with you? ;) Gorgeous! I take it you're thinking the candidate you voted for won't win... I'm afraid too. :(

Just be grateful you don't live in California right now. Thanks to the No on 8 campaign, Mormons are public enemy number one today, not just the yes on 8 side, but Mormons in particular.

I am going to be crafting tonight to keep my mind off of things.

I loved your thrifted sheets article. Now I need to actually make something with mine. The little dresses are adorable!

I think I'm going to try this approach. Do what I can and not pay attention to the ups and downs, and then find out the outcome when it's all over and done with.

It's a beautiful picture.

Hey - do you have any fun Thanksgiving crafts to make? Or do you use your Fall crafts for Thanksgiving?
I'm dying to know how prop 8 does in Cal. I'm almost more worried about that one than the president one!

I with you on the quick like a band aid concept, I suggested movie night, but I think Spencer is more civic than I am so we will be going back and forth...ugh maybe I will doze off! PS I really think we should be neighbors...probably not going to happen, but a girl can dream!

You're so disciplined! For me, it's like a train wreck, I can't help but watch, even though I swear I have an ulcer after all this!

I can relate. My DH is gone and he has given strict order to stay of the computer (we elected a while back not to have cable, it has helped with the hyperventilating)I like the way you put it. I know God is in control. I just hope it is not like the time my grandma told me not to ride my bicycle on the gravel paved road, and I did, and I fell off, and a bandaid had to go on, and when it came off, it stuck, and really hurt. Your word picture, just made me remember this. Have a blessed evening. Jackie

I am way behind. I read your post on faking it, and I have been there, sometimes still am there, and my hardest times are when DH is gone, which is right now. I had the first meltdown I'd had in a long time a few weeks ago, and I just had to cry to the Lord that I was so weary with this. It makes me physically weary, but all that said I am doing a Beth Moore Bible study breaking Free. You should check it out. This is my second time doing it, if that tells you anything, and I have learned more this time, than in a lot of years. I ran across Finding Peace by Charles Stanley at the Goodwill and I have read through it during this time, and between God really showing me some things, I pray I am finally getting it. I do understand the meds too, I have tried to cope without it, and my Dr. recommends that I really do need it. Just know you are in my prayers. Jackie

Thats what I did, exection-wise. It didn't work for me. TOO much sting!

Hmmm. The band-aid is still being slowly and painfully pealed off. Many thanks to your and your family for the service your GI JOE husband serves so that we can be free. God bless you.
