great second hand finds

because i live out in the middle of nowhere, i get to go into the "big" town about once a week. we make the trek of 45 minutes and that's where i do all my shopping for the week, and all the fast food eatin' for the week, oh yes, and my weekly venture into the second hand store. this week was a gold mine in my eyes. i mean look at that fabric! look at the vintage tin! ahhhh! i walked away very happy! yes. i. did.
add a little elastic and oh yes it's going to be so yummy. i really can't wait to start on it! oh yeah and happy halloween!

I feel like Napolean, but, LUCKY. Did you find any num-chucks? Or fanny packs?

I can' wait to see that skirt, either.

Oh my goodness!!

I found your so-sweet blog from the comment you left for the Farm Chicks. I have been looking high and low and near and far for a pattern or directions for a little girl's reversible elastic waist skirt. I just cannot seem to work out the logistics myself. I would love to purchase the pattern/directions from you! I soooo am hoping that this will work out.
By the way, I've added your blog to my list of favorites!

HA! Vanessa, I took that wire bowl to the DI a few weeks ago! It was a wedding present. I'd have given it to you for free...

Felicia, are you serious? That's hilarious!!! I NEVER find stuff like this at our DI, V... I'm either blind or I live in the middle of nowhere with a crappy DI. I'll let you figure that one out! ;)

Cute fabric! I love the photo of your daughter lining up all the cans. My daugther used tot do the same thing with her toys, instead of playing with them she lines them up form one end of the house to the other... Unfortunately, I wish she still did that in her room now! ;-)
hey I have those same yellow flower Flour, sugar, bread box ...etc cans!
so cute

Nostalgia!!! My grandma had that same tin can, and my mom has the same wire bowl. We used it to serve hot rolls on Sunday dinners. Great finds indeed!

Thank you so much for trying to work out the pattern. I think, no, I know, that so many Mommies and Grandmommies would buy it from you!
The best of everything to you, your husband and your family.
Best,
Mary Ann
